West Fork in Winter

Note: On Wednesday, February 4, one of larger waterfalls, one of the weeping walls and the branch coming in from Glenn Falls, all were dry. As of 1:40 pm Friday, the area surrounding Cogswell Dam has received 4.72 inches of rain from the latest storm to bring the season total to 14.13. The season normal is 33.9 inches. Forecast is for more to come!

... and their reflections in the water. This photo and those which follow are by Graham.

Strong winds have blown off 10-inch diameter limbs on the alders and sycamores and uprooted several large oaks earlier this year. It looks like a game of pick-up sticks. The county has done a good job of clearing the road. See a comparison of a scene from the November trip to the February trip here.

BobT has everyone's attention.
